I have had the same thing, but not from Apple Mail. It's from a friend that bought a Mac about a year ago. not too sure what email program he is using. But it is just from him and happens fairly often. Have been trying to figure out whether it's something he's doing. Now that i hear it's happened to someone else i will have to check on his Email program.
