User interaction with AppleScript alone is not it's forte. AppleScript is
really designed to do stuff "under the hood." Interaction is pretty
limited to dialogs. However, with AppleScript Studio you can build
interfaces and all sorts of interaction stuff because you can get it for
"free" the bad part you end up with a full-blow application and not a
simple script anymore. This has it's merits, but I can see it being a
problem as well. I'll be honest with you, I think AS studio is a great
tool, but it is not the easiest tool in the business. I keep hoping that
FaceSpan finishes their Mac OS X port, because I think it is a much
easier application to deal with from a programming side (however, their
window of business opportunity is long gone for this product and since AS
studio is available now and free I don't hold much hope for its release).
