Good Afternoon Everyone Fermi-2 would like assistance with the following questions: What is your routine survey frequency for the general areas of the following Turbine Building - semiannual Reactor Building - lower containment only during outages...upper containment quarterly Auxiliary Building - RCA exits are daily...most other rooms/areas are monthly Are ARMs used to supplement the survey frequency? We have over 300 remotely monitored ED's throughout our Aux Bldg that we monitor continuously. However, to minimize dose they are not calibrated (run to failure) so we do not take credit for them to further extend the frequency of our routine surveys. What is the primary driver for the use of remote monitoring ( Procedurally and /or the RWP, Dose for the job or to reduce access to HRA or LHRA areas)? Dose reduction/minimization. What equipment is available to perform remote monitoring (Crash carts with video communications, telemetry or centralized monitoring station)? Crash carts with telemetry and video for the majority of the Aux Bldg during on-line periods...Central monitoring for both spent fuel buildings (ISFSI activities) at all times...central monitoring with telemetry, video, and audio communications in reactor bldg during outages. Is there an issue with "Free Air" cables at your facility ? What are your primary ALARA metrics? On-Line Exposure (by unit and either Routine or Non-Routine)...outage exposure (by unit)...fleet cumulative exposure...high radiation area occurrences...and unplanned exposure occurrences. Thank you for your assistance Wayne Ruttenberg ALARA @ Fermi-2 (734) 586-5306
