North Anna currently used the DMC-2000 GNs just to estimate for neutron exposure. We have not upgraded our DAD calibrator to support gamma calibrations for this dosimeter. North Anna's response is listed below.

How do you calibrate the GN neutron component? Please include: 1. In-house or external facility used In-house 2. Source used AmBe 3. Basic geometry exposed to the front face of a poly phantom to an exposure of 100 mrem 4. Acceptance criteria +/- 20% 5. Any issues or problems Calibration is fairly straight-forward with the dosimeters. It allows the electronic adjustment of calibration and/or correction factors. They are fairly durable for our nuclear environment. We have had a few failures with the dosimeter's speakers. They work easily with wireless readers. We have lent a couple of DMC-2000 GNs to Canberra for software development/testing to allow HIS-20 to issue these devices automatically versus manually. Call if you have any additional questions or need training/calibration documents. Any response would be greatly appreciated!
