North Anna currently used the DMC-2000 GNs just to estimate for neutron
exposure. We have not upgraded our DAD calibrator to support gamma
calibrations for this dosimeter. North Anna's response is listed below.

Subject: Powernet: DMC2000GN

Duke Energy would like to know who uses the DMC2000GN independently for
simultaneous gamma and neutron monitoring.

How do you calibrate the GN neutron component? Please include:

1. In-house or external facility used In-house

2. Source used AmBe

3. Basic geometry exposed to the front face of a poly phantom to an
exposure of 100 mrem

4. Acceptance criteria +/- 20%

5. Any issues or problems Calibration is fairly straight-forward with
the dosimeters. It allows the electronic adjustment of calibration and/or
correction factors. They are fairly durable for our nuclear environment. We
have had a few failures with the dosimeter's speakers. They work easily with
wireless readers. We have lent a couple of DMC-2000 GNs to Canberra for
software development/testing to allow HIS-20 to issue these devices
automatically versus manually.

Call if you have any additional questions or need training/calibration
documents.

Any response would be greatly appreciated!
