Palo Verde provides the following response:

We just recently replaced all of our CTM-2000 transmitters and PAM-1 alarm
modules with the iPAM-Tx.

1. We use the iPAM-Tx during outages and non-outage periods and for
individuals with hearing restrictions.

2. The case is stronger than the CTM/PAM case, the different colored
alarm lights help the radworkers, the antenna wire is internal vs. the external
antenna on the face of the CTM, the iPAM-Tx uses a AA alkaline battery versus
the ½ AA lithium, and the iPAM-Tx can accommodate the SOR/R dosimeter which we
use for welders and others who routinely encounter large EMI/RFI fields.
Also, using the provided USB cable and applicable software you can change
programmable parameters in the iPAM-Tx.

3. Since the iPAM-Tx is both a transmitter and an alarm module when you
use it in a high dose rate area as a transmitter, note that if you also use the
Chirp rate feature that this is translated as red LED flashing lights. When
there are several workers in an area such as a S/G platform it will look like a
Christmas Tree light display and confuse the workers. In these instances, set
the Chirp rate appropriately, i.e., no chirp.

4. I have some training material and a night order that I can share if
you are interested.

Seth.

Subject: Powernet: Mirion iPAM-Tx

Dominion will be upgrading our remote monitoring system with Mirion's iPAM-Tx.
If you currently use this device, please answer the following questions:

5. When do you use the iPAM-Tx (outages, non-outage, both)?

6. What do you like about the device?

7. What problems have you encountered?

8. Do you have a procedure on the use of the iPAM-Tx and could you send
me a copy?

Thanks in advance for your time and information!
