Roger:

At Davis-Besse we have been making quarterly power entries for a material
condition purposes. It generally consists of the Operations Manager and
an RP tech and one other team. They do not go everywhere due to dose
rates and heat. Total exposure is less than 75 mrem. Recently we have
been adding small activities such as a repair of humidity leak detection
system and check a containment cooler fan. I have yet to be successful in
talking OPS out of the need to do the entry....

Subject: Powernet: Reason for Containment Entries at Power
Sent by: [email protected]

For those (PWRs) who make containment entries at power, for what reason
are you doing so (e.g., RCP oil topoff, troubleshoot key monitors,
emergent inspection, etc.)?

Thanks very much in advance,

Roger
