At this time, FCS only performs the annual calibration on the
DMC-2000S and SOR/R dosimeters. Part of the justification for not
doing more than this is the automatic self-checking the dosimeter
dose on a pretty frequent basis. This self-check includes monitoring
the detector circuitry for a minimum number of pulses per unit time.
Basically, if the thing is broken, it will take itself out of service
and annunciate an alarm when it does.

Browns Ferry currently conducts a quarterly response check on our
DMC2000S dosimeters. This is in addition to our yearly calibration.
One of our new employees that came from another utility claims we are
out of line with the rest of the industry on this as they just did a
      yearly response check.

What frequency do you response check your electronic dosimeters?
