Looking to see if anyone benefits from
uses shielding on their Upper Guide Structure (UGS) to perform In Core
Instrumentation (ICI) work.
During our Rx Head Replacement Project
we have approx. 4 Rem worth of work to perform from the UGS and are looking
to see if we can reduce exposure but not compromise safety or accrue
significant cost.
The UGS is accessed from an extension
ladder secured to the Refuel Bridge. (Concern is safety getting lead onto
platform and dropped items into the pool)
The UGS has very High contamination
levels. (Concern is creating mixed waste)
