Palo Verde provides the following response: Do you use personal lapel air samplers? Yes
If so, what make/model? Advantages/disadvantages? Currently, Palo Verde uses two models: 1) MSA Escort ELF and 2) F&J Econoair Plus L-12P lapel air samplers. We use the Escort for non alpha areas, it lighter and the breathing rate flow correction (2 lpm vs. 20 lpm) does not adversely affect measurement counting statistics. The Econoair has an 8 lpm flow which is ideal for low count rate alpha measurement situations. ********************************************************************** Seth J.
