LaSalle started using Landauer OSL dosimeters in the first quarter 2012. We have had instances of the small black pin failing and the dosimeter falling apart. In one case, a person was simpy walking down a hallway and the case inadvertently opened. In another case, the case opened and the result was FME (which fortunately was able to be retrieved).

We have had several occurrences of fastener breakage since we began using InLight Dosimeters in September 2011. The vendor has redesigned the fasteners and has used them with the January 2012 batch of dosimeters. However we have had four instances of fastener failure with this new batch of dosimeters.
