Subject: Powernet: Software for Dose Assessment

I am benchmarking what software other plants are using for dose assessment (and
other Health Physics applications). We are looking to upgrade and would
appreciate any feedback and recommendations.

At Ginna we are currently using:

Internal Dose Assessment
INDOS Internal Dosimetry Code, Version 1.0, 1987, (c) 1987 Skrable Enterprises
Inc.
This is a DOS-based program which our IT tells us does not interface well with
Windows 7 and requires a dot matrix printer to print the output.

Skin Dose Assessment
Varskin MOD2
I know that there are newer versions of Varskin available, but our procedures
currently are based on MOD2.

Shielding/Dose to Curie Calculations
MegaShield, WMG Inc

Thanks,
-Steve
