At Cook Plant we have the following criteria for reactor coolant Co-58 concentration:
2.0 uCi/ml access allowed to the containment inner volume (RCS pumps, etc.) 0.5 uCi/ml secure reactor coolant pumps if run for at least 4 hours after peroxide addition 0.25 uCi/ml access allowed to containment annulus and Aux Building RHR areas 0.05 uCi/ml secure cleanup These values are in the outage schedule and are based on historical survey information. Yes / No If yes, 1. Is this target value contained in your outage schedule as a decision point to decide when to secure clean-up or to commence post clean-up surveys? 2. What is the pre-determined concentration based on, e.g., actual survey data, calculations, etc.? Kenneth Walter RP Technical Advisor, Radiological Engineering P.O.
