San Onofre: We have a SAM adjacent to each CTMT/SFP dedicated to harness
self-surveys. Toolroom-type setpoints. Workers reqd. to self-survey prior to
each use.

Also often require papers under harnesses. PC sweatthru can cause PCEs even
when harnesses are very low level. Harness rubs.....

Palo Verde provides the following response:

* Not allowed to be dropped / placed / stored on the floor.

* Surveyed after each use and hung on designated racks. If a safety
harnesses exceeding 60k dpm direct frisk they are removed from service and
treated as radioactive waste.

* Once a Safety harnesses is used in an HCAs it cannot be used in a
lower contamination area again.

Surry Power Station is interested in what efforts are your stations taking to
reduce personnel contamination events that have resulted from wearing fall
protection in the RCA?
Thanks in advance,
Erik
