Palo Verde provides the following response:

Palo Verde only requires that the torque wrench used on shipping package bolts
be calibrated. Prior to departure from shipping site, we do not use a bench
verification or perform a second check with another wrench

Subject: Powernet: FW: Bolt Torque on Shipping Packages

Duke Energy would like to know if stations require verification of torque on
shipping package bolts by methods such as:

(1) Bench verification of calibration of torque wrench used prior to
departure of cask from shipping site

(2) Use of second wrench to check torque

Thank you,
Graham Johnson
