SONGS have personnel monitor for contamination only if a release has occurred.  Monitoring equipment is hand held friskers .

Subject:        Powernet: Personnel monitoring in EOFs
Sent by:        [email protected]

FENOC has recently moved all Emergency Operation Facilities outside the 10 mile EPZ.  The facilites are activated at an Alert and staffed by personnel from the station and from off site.  I have two short questions.

1.  Do personnel monitor for contamination as they enter the facility?

2. If yes, what is the monitoring equipment used:  hand held friskers, portal monitors or other.

Thanks
