Palo Verde's EOF is outside the 10 mile EPZ and personnel do not monitor for
contamination as they enter the facility nor do we maintain monitoring
equipment at the EOF.

Subject: Powernet: Personnel monitoring in EOFs

FENOC has recently moved all Emergency Operation Facilities outside the 10 mile
EPZ. The facilites are activated at an Alert and staffed by personnel from the
station and from off site. I have two short questions.

1. Do personnel monitor for contamination as they enter the facility?
2. If yes, what is the monitoring equipment used: hand held friskers, portal
monitors or other.

Thanks
