Subject: Powernet: passive monitoring

Ft. Calhoun is about to start using passive monitoring.

1. Does your plant use passive monitoring? yes

2. Does your plant do any monitoring as part of in-processing and if
so how do you document it? no

3. What equipment do you use? (PM-7, GEM-5, etc.) PM-7,
transitioning to PM-12

4. Do you have a procedure that controls the requirements for
passive monitoring and would you be willing to share? Yes, it based on
our annual prospective evaluation. We evaluate whether our annual plant
mix has changed our ability to see contamination with WBM and Portal
Monitors.

Thanks
