Browns Ferry Currently uses the following: ________________________________ Entry into areas which have radiation dose rates such that an individual may receive greater than 1,000 mrem in one hour as measured at 30 centimeters from the source or surface the radiation penetrates, but less than VHRA dose rates, requires an approved RWP which specifies the dose rates in the work area(s) and maximum allowable stay time(s) for individuals in the area. Continuous coverage or remote surveillance (such as a closed circuit TV) by RP field operations personnel responsible for positive exposure control of the activities being performed in the area may be substituted for the RWP stay time requirement except when: 500 mrem/entry exposure is expected Or Work area dose rates (at 30 cm) are greater than 1.5 Rem/hour. ________________________________ Does your site use anything different?
