SONGS does not track Supervisor Oversight in the field but we do have Station Management's Expectations.  Expectations are documented in our Leadership Engagement Tracking System (LETS) and graded each week.  80 percent is passing grade anything less is a failure and recorded as not meeting Senior Management's Expectations (reported to each Division Manager on Mondays).  We have no procedure or local guidance for this process of tracking Supervisor time in the field.

Limerick has a few questions regarding supervisor oversight in the field.

1.       Does anyone track supervisor oversight in the field?  If yes, please answer 2 – 5.
2.       Do you have a procedure or local guidance to manage the process?  Can we have a copy?
3.       What is your management expectation on this and how is it measured?
4.       How many hours (on average) is spent in the field by supervisors and what are they observing?
5.       Do you have a process or program that removes the barriers that often prevents a supervisor from getting out into the field?

Thanks in advance,

Linda Parlatore
