SONGS response:
Our access control software (in-house)
causes the PED to chirp when logging into the RCA. The worker has
to respond if they heard the chirp.

Powernet: ED
Alarm Awareness

Duke Energy would like to know
how other sites are meeting the INPO 05-008 requirement to ensure workers
are aware of ED alarms in high noise areas and the requirement to ensure
that workers do not have hearing loss that would impede their ability to
hear the alarms.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
