At Beaver Valley, we do not have a stand-alone document. We do have a list of all the things that comprise the review in an administrative procedure.
I used to compile an annual summary list of all the individual items & that was a chore. After doing this for a number of years & finding that no one had any interest in looking at it, I quit doing it. John T. Some plants have prepared a stand-alone report that documents detailed reviews of all program aspects, the QA audits, NRC inspections, INPO evaluations, performance metrics, etc. Question 118 in NUREG/CR-6204, post-Part 20 revision in the early ‘90’s, implied that the requirement could be met if sufficient oversight reviews were made during the year. I’d like to know how many plants document a stand-alone report (resource intensive) and how many rely on a compilation of audits and inspections to meet the regulatory requirement. If the latter, do you have a formal process (procedure driven) or just gather the info when the NRC inspector comes calling?
