In the Electric Power Research Institutes (EPRI) technical document, "Nondestructive Evaluation: Recommended Practices for Maintaining Radiation Safety of Radiographic Operations at a Nuclear Plant", dated December 2010, it is noted in attachment B section 4.5.7 as part of the example RP Check-off list, it eludes to the action that; RP will perform an operational check on all scales/ranges of the radiographer(s) survey instruments.
PVNGS would like to know: 1. Does your site perform this check of a vendor Radiographers instruments or something different in the regards of ensuring the radiographers instrument functions properly? 2. If so perform this operational check, what criteria do you use to do this? 3. If you do something different from above check, what actions do you take?
