Please recall that the goal of the Oct release was to make a contribution of
source to the community with the stated goal of enough functional code to allow
"anyone" with an ODW target and an x86 solaris host the ability to conduct
hands-on develop. In the context of an overall kernel port this was pretty
preliminary stuff really, bootloader, inetboot and talking to the prom
interface, printf() etc. It was all open, generally current with ON at that
time, no restrictions on development, straighforward to follow and a major
functional step forward. The tasks going forward were outlined in the Polaris
taskmap.

It was perhaps understandable that no technical questions arose with any of the
source at that time. This low level work is a grind and typically only
interesting to one with that direct experience. Without the expressed interest
in any of the pending tasks the grind just continued.

FF to now. The project pages are being updated and source is being pushed out
in increments. Timing on these is not concrete as (contrary to popular opinion)
the team has numerous other responsibilities, the community aspect here is just
one part.

So as with any source base digging into the code is simply a requirement. We
would like nothing better then to discuss lines of source or anything else
related to technical topics with the project, it simply is more enjoyable and
interesting.
