President congratulates nation on Islamic Republic Day
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Sunday congratulated the nation on Farvardin
12 (March 31), i.e. the Islamic Republic Day, and said the day was the start
point of humanity's movement towards highest peaks of glory and perfection.
Addressing the cabinet session, Ahmadinejad said the country's executive
officials remain loyal to the path laid down on the historical day.
He said Farvardin 12 marks rising of the sun and end of darkness.
"Farvardin 12 is the day of divine sovereignty over the land of Iran. Farvardin
12 marks a new chapter in global events and an end to tyranny and arrogance as
well as emergence of justice, dignity, eauty, joyfulness and movement towards
perfection," announced the president.
