To put it briefly boinc allows a user to sort of rotate through a number of different distributed computing projects. You assign a percentage of your computing time to each project you are interested in. There is a number of different distributed computing projects available. This might be more efficient than running a number of different pieces of distributed computing software on the same machine if you want to support several projects. Boinc became popular as it is what [EMAIL PROTECTED] supports. I suggest reading http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/BoincIntro for more information. _______________________________________________ Prime mailing list [email protected] http://hogranch.com/mailman/listinfo/prime
