I am afraid the BOINC population is after something more hot and sexy
than Mersenne: Mersenne has longish work unit (=stats unit) turnaround
at best, and no flashy visuals to be immersed with the project.
Somebody with expretise in BOINC should volunteer to provide necessary
glue to glue Mersenne and BOINC.
Hmm. and then there's the credits question. *I* do not want that the
next Mersenne prime is found by "Mersenne project and the community,
with the BOINC".
PS. I tried the PrimeGrid/BOINC. After 12 hours of waiting a work unit,
it appears their server is down ("for maintenance"). I have had similar
experiences with BOINC projects before.
