THE WEEKEND PRIMETIME NEWSLETTER
FOR MSNBC, AMERICA'S NEWSCHANNEL
Friday MAY 3rd- Sunday May 5th, 2002
***HIGHLIGHTS***
"You're killing me!" It's one of our favorite sayings here in the Primetime
Unit at MSNBC. You can say it to someone who tells a great joke. You can say it under
your breath when your boss hands you a weeklong project (and expects you to finish it
today!) It can also make a great theme if you're putting together a primetime
documentary lineup! So, this weekend we've packed the schedule with programs about
really baaaad people-- students, boyfriends, doctors, mothers-- most of whom will get
to watch along with you-- from their prison cells! The ultimate story of betrayal
premieres Saturday at 10pm ET with MSNBC INVESTIGATES: A MURDEROUS CAREER. Here
you'll meet a well-loved, trusted doctor who practically made a career out of murder.
We're also premiering HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: JAY MOLONEY. You may not know his
name, but you know the names of lots of people he helped make famous--Dustin Hoffman,
Uma Thurman, Bill Murray... He was a superstar Hollywood agent whose career could
have been something out of a storybook. So his downward spiral that ended in his
death came as a shock to everyone around him. You can see that story Sunday at 10pm
ET. It's right after NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER: INTO THE TORNADO, at 8pm ET, which
features the daring scientists who run right into the center of the storm. They've
developed technology that can help them measure tornados, and predict future storms--
if only they can catch them!

9PM ET
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: HONOR, COUNTRY, MURDER
This is a story about two kids who seemed to have it all-- outstanding academic
records, scholarships to the best military schools, a plan to marry after graduation.
Instead they're looking at a minimum of 80 years combined for luring a 16 year old
romantic rival to her death. Diane Zamora and David Graham-- they each took the blame
for the crime and then turned on each other. You'll hear both their confessions in
this one-hour documentary.
10PM ET
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: THE GRIFTERS
Zamora and Graham got a combined 80 years... the pair featured in this program face
nearly 250 years together... and they may get more time tacked on. Kenneth and Sante
Kimes are a mother-son pair of, well, grifters, who got away with just about every
crime imagineable for years. In this program we trace their evil trail that ends with
the murder of a wealthy New York socialite and their attempt to take over her fortune.
This one is sure to make you feel better about your relatives.
