As it is for a mac - if you read all the rants, you need to get the patch which 
rips out all the mac only bits to produce the clean ppd

yep - its a hack for macs to get the printer to work.  It seems to work fine

This sounds good - as i was a bit worried that it would turn into one step 
forward and two backwards
