Thinking about this a bit more, the HP-DeskJet_722C-pnm2ppa.ppd.gz ppd file will probably not work as it needs pnm2ppa which I don't think (if I remember correctly) was included as part of the Solaris Print system.
The pnm2ppa package is part of the Solaris Companion CD (CCD) but it does not integrate with the Solaris print system unless the scripts are changed so it is picked up.
