>From an Insurer perspective, I see the DME companies as providers and therefore
a covered entity - and we'd be communicating with them for the purposes of
payment and health care operations. I would think that a clinic provider may
consider a DME provider as another provider (2 covered entities) that are
coordinating care (treatment and health care operations). I do not think this
will be a situation in which an authorization would be required.
