Dear Ed

What would also help is if we all stuck to using our names and didn't rely on
the email address as identification.

I know you are very worried about opening up listees to getting more spam. My
experience of another list is that spam is less of a problem than repetitive
threads. The archive should solve this to some extent. Another solution is if
the site had a section of frequently asked questions. This would reduce the
traffic if subscribers looked for solutions in the FAQ and the archive
instead of asking yet again about blocked print heads.

I appreciate that setting up a FAQ section would require more work but
perhaps subscribers could volunteer to deal with a specific section in which
they have specialised knowledge.

Regards

Bob Croxford
