Thanks to David Gordon for this wonderful reference site - a must for all of us, I
think!

Having reinstalled everything, updated everything and finally got rid of all the
previous junk, I last night did a stupid thing. I was trying to use Windows Media
Player 7.1 to listen to 60's music, yes, sad I know, but I was there. Got on this
American music site, which refused to play it, said I need to download this small
player app. So I did, however, when it asked for acceptance before using it for the
first time, I read the small print and it worried me immensely so I hit Cancel. Since
then, when connected to the internet, I've had several random windows suddenly appear
of 'Korean' type sites I definitely don't want. So it looks like this app. was some
spyware. I forget its name, and it doesn't seem to appear in the list of Applications
in Add/Remove Programs.

Do you know if there's any way of listing recently installed apps, or recently
downloaded files to get some idea of how to find it and kill it?

Please reply OFF-LIST !

Many thanks,
David
