I spoke too soon when I said I'd never had a Mac related problem! My local Mac expert is unobtainable. Can anyone help?
Yesterday I finally got round to running some tests on my new 2100 printer. My set up is a new G4 Mac with plenty of memory. OS X and 9.2. It has worked fine until now. To crop and frame the images for printing I used Quark in 9.2. Not classic. One print on plain paper was fine, second print on semi-gloss was perfect. The third print from a different image file printed as a B&W "corruption" pattern. I changed the image file and got corrupted image again. Stopped the print halfway through by pressing "apple plus period". Then I got a series of error messages which froze the machine. Since restarting I have not got beyond a flashing question mark. I can boot into reinstall but the hard disk cannot be found so can go no further. Hardware Test disk shows no problems. Everything unplugged but no change. With flashing question mark the keyboard is without power. Without power to the keyboard holding X to force boot into OSX doesn't work. I need to get some work off the hard drive by next Wednesday. Many thanks in advance. Bob Croxford =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
