Dear Mark

I'm certain that it is an extensions conflict caused by running the Epson
2100 software. On the second machine I did try turning off other Epson
extensions. Didn't help. Questions however remain.

Why should a software problem with just one of three printers cause the hard
disk to disappear?

Except that it hasn't disappeared because the hardware test finds it and says
its OK.

Why should the software want to print one or two prints perfectly and then
crash halfway through a print taking the hard drive with it?

Why should it happen twice, (Silly me), on different machines and setups?

Why should the primitive switch on which I am still allowed before the
dreaded flashing question mark appears sometimes disable the keyboard? This
makes holding down all the different keys I've been advised to do C, T, X etc
an exercise in complete frustration because there is no way of telling they
work.

Why should this happen when I'm working over the New Year break?

Has anyone noticed how b*****y hard the new Mac switch is? After the
hundredth time I feel like using a hammer.

Time for another stiff drink.
