I have just gone back to my G3 laptop to double check the download speed of the PCMICA slot. Disaster! The computer will not 'see' the card, and it will not appear on the desktop. Runing system profiler with the card in tells me there is a 256MB CF card in the slot but it is not formated. Put it in the Firewire card reader and all appears as usual. I have no idea why or when this started as I have been using the firewire reader for months. Has anyone else seen this, and got a solution?
