I'd say please note that the scan should ideally be at a scanner native
resolution - and where possible at above output size.

I'd say never resize after sharpening, you blow up the haloes. It's
kind of against the rules [if there are any].

I'd say that if you have to blow up do it by stair interpolation, and
sharpen afterwards.

ps, removing the whole of the message to which you are replying is
taking snipping to extremes don't you think? It's difficult to remember
the original even if you wrote it ;-} when dealing with tons of mail.
