Hi My name is James King-Holmes. I have been a pro photographer for more years than I want to remember, & specialise in pix & features on science, medicine & technology subjects for editorial & corporate use.
I've been using an S1 since they became available with no problems until now. I've just done a corporate shoot and downloaded the first 100 images on a CF mid-shoot to my Mac G4 Powerbook. Instead of the normal QT files I found that the files were icon-less & described in 'Get Info' as 'document'. They won't open in Photoshop or any of the other image editing applications but have the JPG tag. It's not a total loss though as the folder 'contact sheet' is opened by PhotoMechanic 3 and the files can then be saved as jpegs which can be used by Photoshop. What I need to know is, what went wrong?? The second diskful of images on the shoot were OK & as normal, but I am now very twitchy until I find the problem - Any ideas?
