Hi My name is James and I'm a photographer working in Melbourne, Australia. I have been working in the industry for the last 19 years and have been shooting digitally for the last 2 years. Started with a Canon D30, then D60 and now I'm using the Canon 1Ds. Most of my work is food for packaging and editorial. Digital Capture would account for 1/2 of my work at the present but the ratio is changing. For the moment I am using the camera tethered using the Canon Remote Capture software on Mac and then processing the captures using Phase One Capture One DSLR. This seems to work for me and the results with Phase One are very good. However, capturing using Capture One DSLR software on Mac is proving too difficult at this point in time - too many errors popping up. Hopefully Phase One can get their act together at some stage and get the Mac version working.
Look forward to reading the exchange of information and experiences and hopefully sharing some of my findings with the group. Although the digital realm of photography is advancing in leaps and bounds I believe there is still much more to come and certainly more to learn.
