In our design group, we've seen the acceptance of .pdf's by our printers around the world, increase dramatically.....from about 3 or 4 percent a couple years ago, to about 85 percent this year. Not only printers, but pre-press, designers themselves, freelancers, etc. BTW, Apples Preview, and the Save As PDF button in the print dialogue box in OS X Jag, do NOT do as good a job as Acrobat 6. I often save web pages as .pdf's from within Acrobat...there is a button menu in the toolbar called: Create PDF, pull that down and you have several choices...one of which is from webpage. If you copy the web address from the location field in your browser, just paste it in, and you end up with a smaller, tighter .pdf file, and more accurate than the one Apple's tools make.
