Dear listees,

We have been asked to photograph a large number of paintings in a
university art gallery collection. The art gallery is producing a
catalogue and they would like a CD of the images to be included in
each catalogue. We have been asked to produce the master CD.

Has anyone any idea of a way to produce this, so that these are
presented in a well laid out way, with information about each of the
images (Name, artist, etc.). Must be cross-platform. What would be an
impressive presentation that would go well with an anniversary
catalogue and exhibition?

I presume that it would be advisable to make these images 72dpi and
not too large, to avoid reproduction? Although of course anyone can
just scan the image in the book if they want to do that. What do you
think?

We can also get the job of producing the CD's, but obviously this is
a job that we would farm out. Has anyone any experience with getting
this sort of CD duplicated in largish numbers? (750)

I would welcome any suggestions.

Best regards and thanks in advance,

Ellie
