I have just started using Eyeone Display and suspect that something may be
wrong (me?). Eyeone Match v2.0.1.

I have used it 'easy' mode and it produces a profile that displays some
'posterisation'. I.E. in areas such as sky which are nearly white
(e.g.R227-G253-B254) there are no tone changes - it 'jumps' from a smooth
cloud/sky to a nasty pale green colour. Another photo at sunrise has the sky
graduating from some luverly pink/orange tones into more orange and then as
we get closer to the sun the sky suddenly goes orange with no graduation.

However, when using the eyeone in 'advanced' mode it takes an eternity to do
it's stuff. The white point setting takes ages (I cancelled it after about
half an hour) and the next phase where the RGB sliders move left and right
was also cancelled after about half an hour.

Does the list know how long the advanced process should take?
Should I be using the 'advanced' process in any case, regardless of the
profile produced in 'easy' mode?

I have e-mailed Brant Andreas at Gretag asking the same questions.

Regards

Paul
