but use a magnifier to select the best nozzle setting from the
colour patches as the difference between each is minute - hope this helps.

I think this is the issue somehow... When I print out the nozzle alignment test page, *all* the patches have very obvious vertical lines across them. There are no solid patches at all. Around the zero mark, the patches will have somewhat fewer lines, or rather, the patches will be more solid. Canon say not to expect any entirely solid patches.


Is this your experience? I definitely wouldn't consider a magnifier as necessary to see the difference in the patches on my printer.
