Just because its been replaced, doesn't mean you might not have got another
duff one. Lighting does strike twice, contrary to popular belief  :-)

Canon's main service centre. Dump it on their desk and ask them to print a
picture for you that doesn't show the white lines. If they can do it, then
it must be something to do with your set-up, so we can work on that angle.
At least you will know once and for all if the printer is at fault or not.
