I think Katrin is working on a book for digital photographers. It should be
good. I haven't bought Scott Kelby's book so can't say a lot about it one
way or the other. I have got Katrin's Restoration & Retouching book (I
contributed to it in a small way) and it is very good, IMO but it is
squarely aimed at retouchers.

Martin Evening's book for photographers has a section on digital photography
but it's aimed more squarely at digital and analogue photographers whereas
Scott's book looks like it's aimed more squarely at just digital
photographers.

I don't think there is one book that will fit the bill so it's hard to
recommend one. It all depends on what you want to do in Photoshop with your
digital or analogue photography - personally, I don't think there is that
much difference between the two formats as far as Photoshop is concerned.
The difference lies in what you want to do with the image once it's in
Photoshop. Hence the books for retouchers, artists, prepress, web, etc. I
think you'll just have to buy the two! <g>
