Mike there is another solution, if you want to separate tifs and jpegs, select the list view in the folder you are working with and then click on the 'kind' bar, this will list the files in file type order so all your jpegs will be together, you can then either drag select all the files or 'shift' click the first and last to select all the files and drag and drop to the folder you want them in.
