Dear Quentin,

Having just ditched bibble and got nikon capture, as steve mentioned,
the colours are so much better in Nikon capture and look right. I tend
to find that bibble, has garish colours and is less true to nature.

I have no experience with adobe raw though.

Can recommend the d100 in the meantime though, I am very happy with
mine, make sure you have one with the firmware 2 upgrade. Using raw at
200iso and the interpolating actions from www.fredmiranda.com . I have
been very impressed with prints up to 2m high. If you do get a d1x, the
nikon capture 3.5 (3.52 from website upgrade), allows you to interpolate
the short side of the oblong chip up to 10 mega pixels (30mb 8 bit
file). There is a minor improvement in image quality from some files
provided to me by some friends, but not as good as the eos 1ds. I would
bite the bullet now with a d100 or maybe an fuji s2 and wait to see what
happens in the next 6 months, maybe a d2x and maybe an upgrade to the
d100 and maybe an s3 as well.

cheers

Ian Reynolds
