I would warn all potential purchasers of the Canon 1D on eBay of the old axiom 'that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is'. A few things to remember:- Never trust a seller just because they have good feedback. Check their feedback to see if they have sold photographic equipment before (or whatever you are buying). Often sellers gain high ratings by buying lots of cheap items in order to get a high feedback rating, ready for the big sting. You want to see ratings for selling as well as buying. Also be very wary of overseas sellers. At least with the UK ones you may have some recourse via the law. Email them and ask them fairly difficult questions about the item. If they haven't actually got the item they may not know the answer. Also look out for really bad syntax/spelling in the reply. They may actually be abroad and have bought a UK domain name just for the address. I hope I haven't put you off eBay as I am an avid user, Caveat emptor
