Bob, I haven't been following this thread so I apologise if this has already been mentioned.
cam2pc will allow you to strip all the EXIF data from an image and in addition this can be run in batch mode. The application will also allow you to save EXIF data to a file and to load saved EXIF data to images. However there are couple of points to note. Firstly there are numerous notices about possible file corruption and secondly the Freeware version doesn't allow you to edit the EXIF. The software is available from www.nabocorp.com/cam2pc I have only spent about 10 minutes with the program, stripping EXIF data. I haven't seen any problems with file corruption but don't use this software myself so can't comment on its suitability or stability.
