We have a La Cie "Big Drive" (500 GB Firewire/IEEE1394). 200 GB of it has been formatted as NTFS as it was a temporary large filestore for a Windows server. The remainder of the space hasn't been touched yet. I now need it as a temp filestore for a G4 server running Appleshare IP 6 under OS 9.
Plugging it into the G4 server produces no result at all. Presumably as it's been set under NTFS, OS 9 won't recognise it. Drive Setup doesn't recognise it so I'm presuming that the Silverlining CD provided with it is the way forward. Has anyone experience of this software. The last time I used Silverlining was yonks ago under System 6 or 7. Or can the drive be set up under Apple's own software in some way?
Any help or advise appreciated. Simon
