The simplest solution to your problem would be to use MS PowerPoint and cut an ISO9660 CD. This assumes the viewer has PowerPoint for MAC.
Another addition to the simple solution category is Acrobat. I've done a number of slide presentations this way. You only need a copy of the free Acrobat Reader on the computer that's viewing the presentation. Burning the presentation to disk using the standard built-in capabilities of XP should work fine... no real need to worry about specifying a format. I've not had any issues with these disks being unreadable on a Mac. All of these suggestions are dependent on what you plan for content of the presentation as they all have strengths and weaknesses in differing areas.

(I have an XP box and an OS-X box hooked to one monitor and keyboard via a KVM switch. Hit the button and get whatever OS you want. That's the best of both worlds... and tends to confuse the hell out of people looking over your shoulder while you work)
